The drag link from ORD on their x-over set up was a little long for my rig, so im thinkin that i can take off the steering wheel and re-center it instead of cutting the drag like, beacuse i dont have anything to cut it right /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
Am i dumb for thinkin this? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I would trim it somehow. You're in Sacramento, there are tons of wheelers there and has to be someone close by that could help you....

I would think that if it were too long and you just centered the steering wheel.... You'd be lessening the throw to one side and lessening you steering to that side. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif Just a hunch though...

ya i thought that to, but the Knuckles hit the stops on both sides, so i dont think that will be a problem

YOu can't just re-center the steering wheel, as the lock plate/horn contact stuff doesn't line up right.

Drag link adjustment is the *proper* way to adjust the steering wheel center.

Yep, what Dorian said is correct. You cannot move the steering wheel because the horn button and all that stuff only allows it to go on one way.
