im sure mosqt of you guys have seen the teraflex shackles for the jeeps and toyotas, and have also seen the very expensive price of them. well, since our rear shacles are tapered at one side...would it fit in the other side if we used 2 stock shackles? if someone knows or couls measure it and let me know if it would work i will be heading out to the local pick-n-pull sometime this week to get another pair of shackles...so anyone try this or know if it would work?

Not really sure what your suggesting but it sounds like it's gonna hurt. I'd move onto the next project if I were you!

There are so many leaf spring options that'll net you all the travel you'll ever need without having to resort to double shackles. Plus, double shackles have a nasty habit of unloading at the absolute wrong time...like under hard braking.

Ok so double shackles would give you the travel but the shackles from Teraflex also swivel.

Acctually its not mine, belongs to one of the guys in my club, its a trail only truck and now has bump pads between the shakle and frame. they work like normal shackles untill it unloads then drops out quite a bit. seams to work pretty good for him.
