SCOOBYDANNN
1/2 ton status
LOTS OF PICS!!!
This was my first truck.
About three years after the purchase of this beautiful truck, a place called CK5 and its habitants (sp?) re-directed my thoughts and enjoyment activities.
after several different phases and about 4 years of wheelin the end result of this truck was this;
A year and a half ago scooby passed because of a totally fubard frame. I probably could have kept the truck and got a new frame but to be honest i like the look of a truck more than a truggy. since then I have been working on Scooby Dee. (i know kinda stupid but what the heck.)
I guess you can say she started off as a complete frame off "resto" I got her home with the good drivetrain already installed
a few hours and a couple of beers it looked like this
and this
With the frame off of the body I could do all the things I wanted to do to the other truck, but time and money and patience were all things I didn't have. I boxed in the frame completly from front to back and built a crossmember for the doubler, and re-did all the fuel and brake lines. In the process i raised the drivetrain 2.5 inches.
From there I replaced the body and started replacing the floor, building the cage, moving the gas tank above the frame and dovetailing.
Now since i raised the drivetrain 2.5 inches the drivelines were not happy at all, even at ride height. So after clearancing (sp?)the CV and TC yoke they still were not happy. So I lowered the truck--56" springs in the front. We'll see how they work in time, but they seem alright on the street.
And for the back I raised the spring mounts 2.5 inches and moved them 1.5 inward.
So after the nickle and dime things took over my life for about a month she is finally running. I am still waiting for my front shocks, but all that needs to be done to be street legal are the lights, horn, and build my dash.
Here are some pics of the finished product.
Buttman angle
The bling and their mounts. I am going to add a crossbar but im figuring out how to make it functional and still look good.

Seems like you traded in the cab and hood and got front/rear fenders in exchange. Not talking smack, just trying to understand the thought process etc.
