This all started last week when I told the wife "I think I'll pull the motor today and get er' rebuilt". Then one thing led to another and whala...I pulled an OBAMA. As of an hour ago I have a stripped frame with the rear shackles removed and the front/rear upper shackle romoved. All brake and fuel lines have been removed as well. My plan is to box the frame. I do have a question, I do not know what I am going to do in the front. I was thinking of putting 52's up front but have read here that it can be a PITA when driving on pavement. Others have said it's not that bad as long as you drive responsibly. Just how does it respond on pavement? Does it float back and forth making it nearly impossible to stay between the lines or what? I talked with ORD yesterday and I guess they make a softer front spring using stock length. Anyone using it? Hows it preform for ya? Thanks

It just body rolls more but totally drivable GET good shocks king fox so on make's it way better and they are valvable to the rig for a better ride.

Don't have 52's but I'd imagine if it's too much body roll, then you could put the sway bar back on or get a bigger one.

I dd my truck with 52s up front and Im fixing to put together another dd and it will also have 52s. The ride and flex is awesome but there is quite a bit of body roll. However, the truck sits fairly low so it feels stable and if you drive it like its a lifted truck you shouldnt have any problems.

As far as driving on pavement and steering response, it feels the same to me as it did before. The truck doesnt wander over the road it just leans a little harder when turning or braking.

Personally, I will never buy another set of factory length lift springs but if you decide to go with factory length springs for simplicity or whatever, the springs that ord sells would be my next choice.

Thanks for advice

I really appreciate the feedback. I talk with Kert today and ordered all my parts. I actually ordered my parts from ORD three days ago. The guy I talked to was suppose to call me back with the exact price by noon that same day or by the next day at the latest. There was some confusion on shipping. I left my number and never received that call. The total was around $1400.00 from ORD. I gave my business to DIY4X because ORD never called me back with the total. Maybe they didnt want to pay for the long distance call. I don't know. In their defense the guy did tell me that he dosent ussually work "inside", so maybe thats what happend.
