So I bought my $250 86 K20 last fall. Got the blown engine swapped out, got the truck transported down here. Started to work on getting it up and running well. I was having trouble with the old Edelbrock carburetor and wanted to set this up to do some mild wheeling while I work on my Jeep. So I went and got a reman Q-jet. While the new carb was on it's way I ran into trouble with the fuel tank clogging up the pickup since it sat for a while and built up some scale inside. Ok. No problem. Well, the new Q-jet is on and one of the two tanks isn't terrible at clogging up so I can make it to the shop to get the bad tank cleaned then I'll do the other one. So I dropped the bad tank today, which isn't the easiest task. But after messing around with it, I finally got the lines undone so the tank would drop. Great. Toss it in the back and drive down to the radiator shop to have it cleaned. I get in, start it up and step on the brake. It goes to the floor.

I get out only to find that one of the brake hoses cracked and burst. Great. Exactly what I need.

Well, I kinda needed to swap out the front calipers anyway and I was going to replace the hoses at the same time anyway. I just wish it would have lasted a little while longer.

By the time this truck is done, it's going to be a brand new truck.

It's a Chevrolet, thats the way of things. someone here once said, "performing the standard chevy truck rebuild, Pull off the Radiator cap replace everything else, re install cap."
