I just lost the heat in my 1990 suburban. Help!

So I was putting in a new cd player and I had the dash off. Everything went in fine, but now I have no heat. The fans don't blow for heat/defrost/etc. It's not the fuse. Is there anything else obvious I should check? Thanks.

check if any grounds r disconnected. its not fun,but if u just lay on ur back on ur floor with a flash light, u can just follow some wires and see if everything seems the way it should under there. and/or check the wire at the blower motor under ur hood and see if its getting any volts, with the heat in the "high" position u should get 12v or something very close. and in the slower fan settings ull get less voltage.

I don't see anything that is disconnected. All the wires from the controls go into a nice little loom. I have no idea where the blower motor is. I looked under the hood and didn't see anything obvious.

Sorry for my ignorance, but I just bought this 'burban and I had an old Landcruiser...

Are there any other fuses or relays that control the blower fan that could have gotten shorted out when I was messing around with the CD player?

Its dumping snow here and I hope I can get this figured out soon.

hey,thats fine, we all had to start somewhere! but the blower motor is on the passenger side of the firewall, u actually only see the electric motor sticking out. i dont have a pic or i would post one up. its allll the way on the pass side. just a round black little motor. check if ur getting any volts with the fan in any of the "on" positions.

I would say pull the stereo back out and make sure you didnt pop anything off the climate control panel. If it was working before the stereo and not after, that could be your problem. Unless you went snip happy putting the stereo in, then you'll just have to double check what you cut and from where.
