i guy i work with has a 2004 nissan titan and since i have a off raod truck everyone thinks i know all about every 4x4 truck. well procomp just came out with a 6" lift for it i guess and this guy (not the brightest bulb on the tree) said he was told he could run 38"s on it with that lift with good room with the fenders. but he doesnt know what gears and i dont think the stock 1/2 ton axels will hold up.

anyone know the stock gears for a titan and what do you think about running 38's the truck has the factory electronic diff lock would the drivetrain be strong enough
i told him i wouldn't go bigger thatn 35's depending on what gears and i already told him he should have bought a chevy

I'd let the guy do his own homework. There's plenty of yota boards that'll more than likely know all those answers. If you answer this then he'll just keep coming back to you. Like you said, if he bought a Chevy then that's a different story.

yeah thats what im going to do i told him once not to do it but if he doesn't want to listen i want to go with him just so i can hear expensive nissan parts break
