Thats lamer than lame, I hate car bodied 4x4's.

[/ QUOTE ] But this one is not a body transplant. They modified the suspension of the El Camino. That's part of why I like it. I agree with you about a car body on a truck frame looks like crap.

yeah well notice no shots of the suspension, front axle, or the suppossed offset "military" axle.

Honestly the rear frame and spring moounts don't look like anything I've ever seen on an Elky before.
The hump where the axle sits is way higher than on the stock frame (at least thats how it looks in the pic)
And that year of Elky would have had coils not leafs in the rear, so those mounts look kind ify to me.

The front shot looks weird, I can't identify the cross memeber, but to sit that low and be 4wd, there would have to be some serious hacking of the frame under the engine.

It looks a bit suspicious. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Yeah, it doesn't look quite as bad but still...a 4x4 el camino is like a hairy grown man dancing in a too-too...it's just not right. /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

[/ QUOTE ] I'd love to have one, but then again, I like both El Caminos and 4X4s. I think it'd be great for a daily drive, you know, something to take up to the mall. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
