Hey we were both SSgts in iraq, what a small world

No problem!!! /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

BUt i have to admit, I kind of regret doing it. After all that hard work I put into it, I have yet to use the damn thing. It's tucked up so far that the skidplate hasn't even been touched. I'm thinking of dropping it about 6 or 7 inches just so i can get some good use out of it and put some nice gouges in it. /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

sounds like a problem i would like to have. Were you able to do that from just the clocking ring or is there some additnal mods to make it work?

hey esteban, how about a picture of that front drive shaft /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

Well I did raise the entire drivetrain up about another inch. And the mods that i had to do are:

Cut the floor board
reroute exahaust
extend front driveshaft
shim the front axle for better angle

I think that was about it. I raised the drivetrain up just so i could put the skidplate flat with the framerails. If you don't raise the drivetrain then it will be about an inch or 2 lower than mine. I run a 2" body lift and I still needed to cut the floor boards out so that the T-case would rub them.

And Smokey, I forgot what pic of the front shaft you wanted? Sorry /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

no problem, when ever you have an chance you can pm it to me on the SCBD forum /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Of your drive shaft angle and how you extened it.
Just trying to get everthing figured out, before I do this mod to my burb next month.

Oh yeah I remember now. The extension is nothing more than getting a piece of tubing/pipe that is a little larger than your existing one, then cutting it to the length you need your shaft to be. Then you cur your shaft in half and slid it in from both sides and weld it up. Sure it's not balance and all of that but I'm not into high speed runs in $wd so all is good. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

O.K. I just went outside and took some pics of my junk. Don't make fun of the drivers side exhaust. It was something i threw together right before a run and haven't replaced it yet. To be honest I probably won't replace it untill it breaks. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

And it's filthy from my last run too. I took it off the trailer and parked it and haven't looke at it since. /forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif
