Been trying to figure out next build since wifes car is done now. This deal came along and Im pretty sure im gonna trade my Diamond T project for this Suburban

I have a line on a few more sub's and one is too nice to hack up, but they are all stock.

POS Reasons for trade:
I need to get kids up in the hills more this summer
The sub seats 5
the DT seats 2
Needs TONS more time to finishe DT Rod project
My other suburban needs too much time to get on road
I have a D60 and a 70 and some Irok's and AGR 2wd box
I kind of like it, dont mind the chopped up rear
Wife said OK
I got board with it
have another cab to build if i realy want to

NEG Reasons for trade:
I have Lots of time in DT to abondon ship
Hard to find parts
differnt build than what i have done before
Didnt get to finish it
its pretty damn cool. IMO
Seats only one other person (less people to hear talk,)
the DT is small and parks is garage easy when not working on it

Im trading this

the two vehicles serve entirely different purposes IMO. The burb assuming it runs good and all would be a good family wheeler project piece. The diamond T all cleaned up would be awesome to cruise around in but if you have kids, not much you can do with your kids and the vehicle.

With that said i'd probably go with the burb if you have kids.

trade for a burb sure. get what you want, I can dig that.

but IMO that one looks like ass with the Avalanche deal cut into the backend there. should have got a crewcab, not hacked up a sub.

I dunno man...burbs are a dime a dozen and that one looks ridden hard and put away wet.

Maybe it's different in CO but around here it's not every day you come across a DT...let alone a DT rod.

Is it too much to have both?:D

YEAH, burbs are everywhere hear too.
this one runs great and has a decent trans and he is giving me a 205 with it...not a hugs deal, but it somthing

i wanted one i could cut the back off of anyway, so the hacked rear kind of works out.

i also wanted one i wouldnt feel guilty about thrashing in the mountains.

as far as having both, i have 37 chevy cab and some sweet parts ive been hoarding. i have been saving for another ratty rod project with quick change rear end and 38 ford wide 5 stuff with a big block.

Im at this point i want to build another race truck and either a race truck or hot rod will need the same amount of work and i have a few cars already............................If i was smart i would sell everything and buy the race truck i want,

sell 10 and buy one type deal

I bought a BB K30 CC for that exact reason, but fell in love with it and decided to keep it stock and not cut it up

seriously? why not just get a Crewcab? then it'll be K30 1ton'd already?

went down that road...see above post. Its nice having it to tow my trailer around and haul stuff.

and when i go to make a deals with someone from craigslist...or whatever, its easier to make deals when your driving a beater truck and trailer,
so as of now my CC stays stock

Is the back of that thing open? If so, it may be pretty uncomfortable in cooler weather. To me it looks like a summer-only truck...

sounds like your already talked into it so why not go for it. besides if your no longer in love with your current project, then all your doing is taking your money and peeing it down the drain, not to mention wasting time you could be working on a project that you actually wanted to keep around.

Not 100% convinced yet. I've been looking for a burban project for a while now. I still have a line on a 91 and another guy has a 3/4 ton with a manual trans..factory, but he ain't callin me back yet.

I wanted tbi, but a carb will do for now if that happens

I have seen both of those. One at the airport, the other down town. If you are bored with a project, send it down the road. I have my dads 34 Chevy Coupe I have been working on for a year. Can not stand to look at it any more.

Wade, you have seen this one? What about that red on also on CL every week.
Your 34 was looking good, but sometimes rebuilding everything gets old.

Yeah, I need to stop these 2 year long projects that don't move.

Well, sorry to get all excited. I pulled the plug. He was a nice enough guy and the sub was decent, but I found a deal on a 90. I wanted tbi anyhow.

Now, ill see if I change my mind again, but the 90 has some good stuff
