I went from my 85 CC dually 2wd with the stock 454 getting 10.5 mpg average.
To my 2016 CCSB 2500hd 4wd with the new fancy FI 6.0.... that only averages 11.4
I finally got to buy a shop to work in at the age of 43..
... Give or take a year. And quickly started a bunch of projects. Only to realize that pulling engines and transmissions at nearly 50 now, kinda fuggin SUCKs. Lol.
I'm finally financially sound enough, and definitely set up enough to build the toys I wanted when I was younger..
and my body's like
I now find myself looking at totally rust free, basically stock 1960-85 cars and thinking, "yeah, that's all Id need". Nothing crazy, nothing super special or fancy....
I think of that a lot while I'm slaving away working on my 600+HP suburban, trying to put fancy paint on it, and planning boost in the semi near future
Why can't I just do what my brain is screaming I should? lol.
