I need a 6.2 manual flywheel......

I see them come up on eBay once in a while...although someone here may have one.

Yeah, I thought it was steep too, then I spent two months looking, paid freight, had it turned, etc.....I'da been better off buying it to begin with.

That seems kind of steep. I'll keep looking, thanks though.

Thats about the cost I paid. Think I found one for $100 + shipping and then had to pay $50 to get it turned down.

I know where one is for $50 but it needs a new ring gear. A friend was telling me that the new ring gear is only about $20. May go that route.

Thanks,

try here..

We used this place a few times when I worked at a junkyard..not sure if they sell retail or not though..they have flywheels,harmonic balancers,exhaust manifolds,timing covers,clutch forks,detent cables,ring gears,oil pans,speedo cables,and a bunch of other stuff ...

National Automotive Manufacturing Inc.
P.O.Box 1315
McPherson,KS 67460
Phone # 620-241-6363
E-mail sales [email protected]

I only have an ad from a trade journal we used to get at the junkyard, that is a few years old,so I'm not sure if they sell to just anyone,or if you'll have to use a bussiness letterhead to buy from them..

Another place listed is

Bishop Engine Replacement Parts Inc.
301 Corinth St.
Dallas TX 75207
phone # 214-942-1104 or 1-800-231-1104

They show "dual mass" diesel flywheels in their ad..so they might have one for a 6.2...they also sell rebuilt NV4500's and most of the other stuff I listed the other place sells...

go to partsamerica.com and you can get one reman or new thru them. alot easier than trying to find a used crapped out one, and they're not that expensive.

$37 plus an $80 core charge. $117 isn't too bad... They have another one listed for $129 with no core. Think that one should be new, but it doesn't really say.
