Ok so I need a 6 inch lift kit for a 89 K5 Blazer with in the next couple of days.. Right now it's a toss up between Rough Country, Rancho and Super Lift.. It has to have rear springs, NO blocks.. The kit needs to be complete shocks, steering arm ect.. This truck will be mainly used for hunting, mudding, light towing, and general use..

So where is the best (cheapest :D ) place to get one of them now a days ?

rough country - buy it at rockymountainsusp.com thats what I did for my old K-10. It came with 4 heckthorn shocks as well.

I got mine from www.topguncustomz.com

Best price for the lift I wanted, only took 4 days to ship
That place and Rockymountain seem to be about the same price..

How was the service you got from them ?

What did you buy ?

Would you buy from them again ?

Thanks for the info :D

It would help even more if you inserted the pics so I could see'em :D

Ordered it from Hecethorn (Rough Country) Via West Texas Off Road. I did not have to do it that way; but I promised Matt last year when I was ready to get one I'd go through him. I'm partially blind when it comes to this Computer stuff, Can you not see the pics I posted? The first one is after the second is a before. Let me know What you need and I'll try to get it done

Your local shop. That way if there's a problem, you just stroll in and deal face to face. No stupid phone operators and recordings. Odds are you'll get better service too.

Support your local shops, you'll be glad you did.

I agree with this. The local shop I deal with price matches so they usually get my business.

I bought a 4" Rough Country lift from Top Gun.
Was very pleased with their service and fast shipping. I like the RC lift. I have beat on it pretty hard it works good both on and off road. RC lifts have higher spring rates than most other lifts. But for my needs it is perfict cuz I use my K5 for towing, offroad and DD so I would wear out softer springs, the rear would start sagging and I would just have to get overloads and have a stiff spring anyhow.
Got a 4" spring kit with steering arm, shims, upgraded nirtro shocks/boots ( I highly recomend those for a better ride) Brake lines, For $614 to my door. They were having a free shipping deal.
I dont patronise my local shop. the 2 guys that run it are jerks and will rape you on everything. Besides they mostly cater to jeepers who have more money than brains

I agree with this 100% and I always try to buy local when I can for the reasons you listed.. The trouble is there is only one 4x4 shop around here and because of that they over charge by almost twice as much  Not only that but after talking to them a couple times the guys that run it seem like a bunch of arrogant pricks.. So buying online is about the only option this time :(

This just about sums up my situation :D

Mudslinger, I bought rough country 4" front springs. Didn't want the entire lift kit, didn't need shocks. Other places I called couldn't put just springs, bolts and bushings together without the shocks and blocks. Paid $210 to the door, and it only took four days. Called them with questions about the lift, no answering machine, and they had the answers. Getting ready to order 4 shocks from them for about the 1/3 of the price I can get locally. All the shops here have to order them as well, so time difference doesn't really matter in that case. I'd recommend topguncostumz.

I'd call RC and see what they can do for you, they will ship right to your front door and they are located in Dyersburg TN. Good Luck keep us posted and let me know if there is anything I can do, even though I am so far away
