I second that. I love when some douchebag contributes nothing by saying go search. It reminds me of some dumbass high school chick... "Like, oh my God! We have so talked about that!" Now that I have contributed my small chunk of nothing to this thread, I shall fugoff.

This guy has hijacked numerous threads and has made absolutely no attempt to search for his answers. I agree with 85mudblazin, it's been beaten to death and it'll take three minutes to find enough threads to make your head spin. That's why I put all the 52" spring articles together, people ask the same questions over and over.

instead of getting exciting and posting "GO SEARCH" maybe just dont open it, there are many people willing to answer the questions. we dont need anyone bringing negativity into these forums. this is what ck5 is about, helping people, even if its redundant.

Then we might as well get rid of the search feature, product reviews, and tech articles if no one bothers to use them.

Ok, I'm gonna make an ass out of myself because I'm in a bad mood. I think this might be the first time I've told someone to search impolitely. If it hadn't been covered eleventy-billion times before I would have laid off. CK5 is all about helping people, hell, a mod just helped me resolve a very serious situation not more than five minutes ago. The fact is that this question is a cookie cutter one, it's been covered in entirety pretty much on a bi-weekly basis. Threads are archived for a reason. Otherwise they might as well just be deleted after they fell of the front page. Just so you don't think we're being whiny little bitches, here's are the threads I found using the search: roll cage.

I stopped at page 5 and these are only the threads specifically related to prefab cages. There are about 4 times this many if you include seat mounting and other stuff that becomes important when building an interior cage. Have a nice day.

I'm with you on being polite about it, but I'm with the rest of the guys on the fact that it's been beaten to death.

If no-one is going to search for my replies, I'm not going to post them, which means questions don't get answered. I mean, part of my taking the time to reply, in detail, with photos, personal anecdotes, and so forth, is because I know that the thread can be searched for years to come, providing a valuable library of technical information for those who will need it in the future.

I agree, search is not used nearly enough, and I'm a newbie. But I have a binder about 4" thick of articles and threads about everything pertaining to the rig I want to build, so I guess I used it enough to know how valuable it is. And it only took me about a month to compile all that info, so searching isn't all that hard, unless you're lazy. :wink1: So keep posting those valuable technical replies I'm reading them, too. :D
