I need a engine rebuild kit

there has to be something local isn't there, a speed shop down there anywhere?
Try for a reman engine
Go with a 5.7/350cu in if you can, they might even be cheaper!

Please i need a complete engine rebuild kit for my v8 305 , 5.0 1986, i need more hp . When I can buy one ?

Thanks for all.....

There's no such thing as more HP from a 305. :haha: You need to swap the 0 and the 5 in "305" and then you'll have more HP. :thumb:

A "Mr. Goodwrench" new 350 from a dealer will probably end up costing the the same or less than rebuilding your 305,especially if it needed any machine work like boring,etc...and it has a gaurantee, which most rebuilds wont have,or be honored,if there is trouble later on many times..

If your determined to rebuild it,you have several choices of engine rebuild kits from various places like Performance Auto Warehouse,Rock Auto,Northern Engine Supply,J.C. Whitney,etc..just google "engine rebuild kits"...

Right now! But for the love of god do yourself the favor and go with a 350! :D

Will summit racing not ship down there? Usually you can at least get something freighted to a port and pick it up yourself.

If you really want HP numbers get a 350 short block, off the shelf new fresh vortec heads, and spec it out for 10:1 and depending on cam you'll hit 400hp pretty simply.

That's a pretty good recipie for reliable, inexpensive power. If you're 305 is done, there really isn't much value in trying to rebuild it. By the time you get done with all the costs, you could have gotten a crate 350 or a good used motor. The 305 engines tried to overcome their displacement deficiencies to the 350 by using higher compression, but they were known to be prone to detonation. Might as well use this as an opportunity to upgrade.

you didnt give a price point....

we can point you to a 350 for $2500... 383 stroker for $5k or a ramjet 560 for $21k and all run off of pump fuel
