ok i've replaced the u-joint in my Blazer like 4 times already. the one i have now is like a month old at the most. it just keeps eating up the needle bearings. i've greased it regularly too cause i didn't want to replace it again. of course it's a stepdown u-joint so it costs even more. think the last one cost me over $20 from Napa.

i just need to know what kind of u-joint would hold up to my driving? i drive like a nut and ain't afraid to push the skinny pedal. ;) not real sure the part number for it but i was just looking for a tough name anyhow. doesn't really matter what brand just your opinions

thanks all

Imo, it sounds like you have another problem.

idk why. i had the same set up in my truck. just swapped everything over to my Blazer.
i know it's stupid but sometimes i get the urge to grab a third. i know that's hard on stuff but i figured if i broke anything it'd be an axle or worse but i haven't yet.

Different wheelbase, different driveline angles, assuming the truck WAS a different wheelbase.

yea sounds like something is going on. Ever get any vibes or binding?if its doing it when you "grab third" maybe the rear axle is wrapping up a ton?

wheelbase is alot different. went from long bed truck to Blazer. could be the driveline angle. i went from 9" of lift to 4" though. so it should work in my favor or so i would think. i just think i'm too hard on sh*t

that's possible. would give me a reason to put my new springs under there or some kind of axle wrap fix

as for vibrating yes. but because of my tires.it's getting fixed soon. it shouldn't be enough to amount to anything though
