I just ordered my Billet Aluminum Fairlead from a vendor on here and now I need to find a hook and a thimble for my amsteal blue line. I have been looking on line and to tell you the truth I dont really know what to look for. What hook do you guys run? I would prefer a swivel hook but it is not necesssary. My line is 3/8 and my winch is a warn 8000.

Thanks

Ira

Then whatever hook you want. Maybe check out Crosby.

I like these. I have wheeled with the guy who runs the site and also purchased from him several times.

Couldn't the vendor reccommend one ??

They all looked REALLY big and I did not talk to them I just ordered off of their website. I do like the large block with the hole in it I think that will protect the fairlead better than just a bare hook.

I like the hook on the right. This one is from Rockstomper, but I seem to recall seeing one like it in the Crosby catalog. What I like about it is that it can't open with even a slight load on it so the straps or whatever don't slip off nearly as easily.
