Well, of course my new 72 project has a pretty rotted out upper windshield frame. Most likely not repairable from the looks of it :( So I'm in need a of new one. If anyone has access to one, please let me ASAP. Thanks.

You can find them on e-bay pretty regular.

Check around, their out there.

I was actually bidding on one for the last 2 days but lost at the end :(

What'd it get up to?
They can get pretty pricey at times.

Sometimes finding either a complete tub or even just a firewall can be cheaper, believe it or not.

Don't just look for "windshield frames" try expanding your search further into "parting out" areas and such.

Good hunting.

It ended at 410$ :eek1: Luckily, I got an email from a guy that has a decent one for MUCH less so hopefully that will work out.

Once you find one, be sure to ask VTBlazer to show you his technique for grafting one in.....

It's brilliantly simple, and guarantees that it will be straight, square and perfectly matched to factory size. :waytogo:

I think the replacement windshield frame was one of those things I bought way back just after I bought my Blazer. More than 2 years later that frame is still riding around IN the Blazer instead of ON it. Maybe this year...

Well my new frame came today, not bad for 100$ shipped :D Let the fun begin!

Cool. :waytogo:

How much of yours is toast?
Just the top or down the sides too?

Where's the slpice going to be?

Pics-pics-pics

Mine has a hole on the top corner of each side and the middle inside is getting real soft. The sides don't seem to be that bad and I have about 12" of the new one to work with, so I should be ok. Once I start the process, I'll post plenty of pics. Though its going to have to wait another month or so until it gets alittle nicer around here.
