That is a 10 bolt. Is it stock in your 81 k10? If not then you would have to count axle splkines because it could be a later 30 spline axle if it's from an 89 or newer.

28 spline isnt?
If its the original axle from the '81, then yes, its 28 spline.
The 10 bolt axle was 28 spline until 1988, starting in 1989-1991 they were 30 spline.
