I second the fuel filter..my K% ran like crap until I found that the fuel filter was plugged solid with crap...Replace the fuel filter, run som BG 44K through it and see if that helps...

My (87 tbi) hesitated on initial acceleration and it drove me crazy for a while. I was stumped because I had a fresh tune-up, EGR and 02 sensor, filters ect. Come to find out my new EGR was sticking. I took it back and replaced it and viola, problem solved. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif …Bryan

check for a restricted fuel filter or low fuel pressure. If that is ok and your ignition system is well tuned, I would check the TPS.

If the EGR valve was sticking or stuck, it would stumble and idle rough. The IAC will not cause the hesitation. If anything the IAC will give you a high, low or hunting idle speed if there is a problem or a vacuum leak.
