i have an 85 blazer, it is heating up, out of the left tail pipe it is really smokin and it smells a bit of antifreeze and the radiador was hissing and the lil plastic return thing was filling up slowly, and making a bubbly noise, could this posibly be the thermostate, or is it a crack in the block? my friend had a mini van that did that and it was a crack in the block, please help

Maybe a cracked block, cracked head, or a blown head gasket. A compression test may help figure it out.

Let me get this straight:

1. You're overheating
2. You're getting coolant into the exhaust chambers
3. Your system is getting overpressured and is venting into the overflow tank

Sounds a lot like a bad head gasket or cracked head to me, brother. Sorry for the bad news......
