It's official, I have a sickness. I must modify everything to the point of badassness. Here is my latest creation at work. I have dubbed this cart "Project Drag Queen"

ratrodding a tool cart...Nicely done!

How is the working height?

Funny you should ask. Just like a real life low rider truck, this one is more for show than for utility, but the ride is super nice with the bigger wheels. Working height is perfect from a sitting position (see stool in pic) :haha:

We have another cart that we "lifted" and put some extra wire reel holders on. I made a diamond plate boxed front bumper for that one that turned out pretty nice. My tool buddy named it "Project Dark Knight" since it is black and has a batman type feel to it. It is the real work horse of the fleet.

Ha! Awesome.

Next one better lay frame

Although it doesn't look like it in the pic, there is only like 1/4" of clearance between the ground and the bottom of the cart at it's lowest point. The underside of the cart has longitudinal ribs that drop down towards the center from both front and rear. Kind of makes it a built in skid plate to slide up and over obstacles. Think along the lines of DIY4X's razorback diff covers.

Thinking of putting one of these on the top and then a piece of plexi over the whole top to protect it.

Opinions?

Cart is gray so black may stand out the best but I am kind of digging the green. I think it has the most rat rod look to it.

The front cord wrap deal is going to get Drag Queen written in the font below in black. Might make sense to keep the Virgin Mary in black too for that reason. I don't think I would like the script to be green like the first Virgin Mary but I am open to suggestions.
