ok well right now im in the process of rebuilding my 1979 chevy k10 into my wheeling truck but right now its nothing but a frame and cab.

the thing is the cash flow for my wheeling truck has stoped due to the engine blowing up in my DD.

heres the problem, i really cant rebuild the engine in my truck because the rod knocked a hole in the block so im looking at short blocks for it. (1995 chevy 1500 4x4 TBI 350 ) the cheapest ive found is like 900 bucks with a 3 year warrenty. at the same time around where i live you can buy a 73-87 chevy 4x4 for like 1500 that runs and drives and is some what reliable.

what do you guys think. spend the money to fix my TBI or go ahead and buy a new truck for alittle more

If you buy the truck you can save up to rebuild the other motor and always have a second rig in case anything else were to happen down the road...

If you have had your truck for a while and know everything else is in decent shape, just put a motor in it. Put the extra money that you would have spent on a replacement truck into your '79 to get it back together. Then you will be closer to having a 2nd truck to drive.

Throw a good motor in the d/d.......Use other money to build wheeler.....Always keep the d/d for work, your going to need it..

$900 with a 3 year warranty? Holy sh!t dude I would jump on that. Parts stores around here want almost a grand with only 1 year warranty.

Quick question.... Is that $900 with a core charge?

you can pick up a 350 shortblock for like 50-100 bucks if you know where to look, id say sounds like a decent deal. make sure ya read the fine print.

and as stated above, nice stuff always goes to the daily, the daily always comes first, the trail rig can sit a while.
