i need some help

i finally got my coil for my truck, i put it in and got everything put back. I hooked my battery to my dad's truck to jump it, but hen i turn the key all it does is make i clicking noise. It doesnt turn over. The starter is somewhat new. wat could it be? all i hear is a ticking sound. today is my day off so i need to get my truck running. Thanks

Sounds like the battery is dead or almost dead. If it's really bad, even jumping will not work. Try hookin the battery from your dads truck to yours. If it works, your battery is fried. Test it by checkin it with a tester...Should read no lower than 12 volts I believe.

if it just clicks when your jumpin it it could be the selenoid check the battery with a tester or if its real old and a generic battery i would suggest gettin a die hard and gettin rid of the other one.
