i need some ideas on what to do for my rear shocks...here is the deal my truck has a flip with 52s in the rear right now...im gonna be putting a set of 56s in after the next trail ride in october...im still a noob at welding (havnt practiced at all) and i dont have a set of rear mounts...

the 14 bolt i have had ladder bars on it before and there are a set of mounts welded on the axle...gimme some ideas on the easiest/cheapest and most practical ways to mount up some rear shocks...

oh and i have a 44 and a 10 bolt front laying around i can get the mounts of off but i dont know if they will work...remeber im just looking for a stock fill in right now...here are the pics...

im going to go that route later but i will be moving my axle back after next months trail ride and am going to do it then...i would kinda like to keep using the stock upper mounts right now..

I mean if you arent going to weld them on and want to keep the stock upper mounts then I have no clue what you are going to do. Guess you better start practicing your welding.

You are towing the rig to URE right? Dont run any shocks then, no biggy

yeah im towing it i just wanted to drive it around test it out and all before then...thats why im trying to have it done by oct 1...plus i hate the ride with no shocks...

If your just looking for a decent stock replace for said amount of lift, figure out what your articulation is (fully compressed and fully extended) and get an equivalent shock for the time being until you go your final route.

i have the shocks im gonna use for now (bds for a 6 inch lift) im more wondering about the mounts and what to do...

for the lower mounts, front axle mounts prolly wouldn't work as they are angles where stock rear mounts are straight. Give Kert a call at DIY4x and he'll get you a set of shock mounts for fairly inexpensive and just use the top stock mounts.
