I need some input...
I want to make a skid plate for my transfer case. My friend gave me a skid plate from roughly the same year dodge pick up, i positioned it under my truck on jack stands. i figure i would make some tubing going up to my frame and bolt it to the frame from the plate. On the back of the plate i would run a steal square tube across it and build the same brackets going up to the frame. My question is, is it way to close to the exhaust y pipe? What you you guys reccommend doing for the skid plate? Thanks for any input and ideas!
