My day project of replacing my head gaskets turned into getting a head replaced, getting the other head redone and sitting for about 8 months. I forget how my power steering/ac brackets go back on correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Awesome.:waytogo: Thank you. Does anyone have a picture of how the top of the power steering bolts to the head by the water pump?

Thanks to the pictures from k5ryder I figured out why I could get my mounts to work. I switched out my old cracked exhaust manifold for headers and now my main bracket that bolts to the exhaust manifold is now useless.

Does anyone have a power steering mount that they would recommend that works with header?

This came up in another thread, but can't remember where. Most people, myself included, cut off the ear of the A/C bracket closest to the firewall. The one closest to the compressor remained. Then make a spacer out of steel tube and use a longer bolt to re-use the one remaining ear on the bracket. What I did - measure thickness of the manifold at that ear (foremost bolt), subtract thickness of the header flange, make spacer the length of the difference. Mine has bee that way for at least 8 years. No problems. Will post a pic if I can find or take one.

Edit: pic added. Not the best, but you get the idea. If you need more detail, let me know.

Thanks:waytogo:. That's what I started to do. Didn't know if there was an aftermarket bracket that worked well.
