Before and after pics here:

web page

Some history:
I bought the K5 from some people who used it as a family vehicle in its stock form. I told the guy about my plans for it and he thought I was crazy /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
I have owned it for about 2 months now and here is what I have done so far:

4" Pro Comp lift - springs front/blocks rear.I would have gone with Tuff Country up front with ORD shackle flip if I had known about this website then!

36x12.50x16 Super Swamper TSL Radials mounted on 16x8

D44 open front/14bff open rear - 4.10's

Bolt on frame brace for steering box

Future mods:

/forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif the fenders (very soon!)

z-rates for the rear (I have them-just have to get my butt in gear and bolt them on)

Detroit for the 14b

I will post pics from in between the before and after pics later.

Thanks for everyones help with this project, before this website I didn't know the difference between a 10b and a 14ff /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I sure am, gotta wait for alittle while though.

My wife has been extremely understanding the past few months but I don't want to push it too much! /forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif

Okay just asking. What did you say to the original owner to make him think you were crazy?

[/ QUOTE ]

I just told him about my plans to put on a lift, tires, etc. I also told him what I wanted it to be capable of doing. He didn't quite understand that train of thought. He only put it in 4wd a couple of times for the snow. In his opinion a trail obstacle is a pebble in his driveway. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif I see what you mean. IF I were to tell the original owner that I bought my project blazer from, what I am doing to it, he'd probaly sh!t his pants /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

What did you do with your old rims? I'm looking for some for my trailer.

As you can see they don't look anything like the the Eagle 598 that I already have on my K-5....

looks good /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif hey we have the same tire/rim combo /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Black crawlers are a good combo. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

[/ QUOTE ] They're pretty poppular with alot of people on this site, but I think they're kinda borring. I guess it all depends on the color of your truck. With my K5 being Blue and White two-tone, I'm going with white rims.
