Thinking a 48" long, 20" wide, 20-24" deep lockable chest to fit between the wheel wells behind the rear seat. Recommendations? Hoping to keep it to around $300, but I don't know if that's doable.
How about an army surplus rocket ammo box??...they are pretty rugged, water tight, and can be bolted down and a lock put on it with a hasp....they are not that expensive too.....www.surpluscenter.com or some army-navy surplus stores usually have them in various sizes...
This is a Rigid job Box, from Home Depot, cost me $180 and free shipping. Strongest lockable box you can get for that money. I lopped off the legs and bolted it down. I didn't like the more expensive diamond plate boxes.

otherwise you can check out a tractor supply.
i found the chest box for a mini truck fits perfectly between the wheel wells of a blazer and behind the back seat without hitting the tailgate. but the locking setup isnt as good as the above box.
you could check out grainger for a box like that and maybe get good pricing.
I Have the same box one size up. Unbelivable the amount of tools you can put in it. Add another 15-20 bucks for key matched locks and there you go.
Ryoken also had some tool boxes he had found for his new DD that have drawers in them, I cant remember the tread though. Might be "what do you guys think". If I remember right They where affordable to.
