and they are still bare metal, i wanted the black chrome coating and they can't get it!

well, i'm kinda glad they didn't coat them as now i'm thinking i may want a different color...not sure. you guys think i should just rattle can the suckers until i am certain what color i want?

i was going to paint k5 od green w/ flat black trim, now i'm kinda thinking i may go w/ the graphite gray or black w/ red 2 tone.

its a 80 w/ trim wrapping around fender and 1/4 panel..inside trim is red...rest is white...thinking about leaving the red and painting the truck gray or black..like this

the black chrome would look good on this color also tho, i found another place that is 15 mins further away and they said they have the black chrome in stock...$35-40 a wheel...after i find a 90-91 front cap its gettin painted like copasetics truck w/ 17's like 1 of these 2 and maybe some new tsl sx in the 42 or 43 size if not an arm and a leg

so, should i go ahead and do the black chrome powdercoat or flat black rattle can them...the black chrome would match and look ok w/ just about any color scheme, but a rattle can would let me change colors of wheels if need be...i think typing this i have talked myself into the black chrome...thanks for the help guys..heheh:haha:

Just powdercoat them gloss black. And take those silly mud flaps off ;)

thats not my k5, just used it as an example(mines white/red..thinkin of going black/red like the pic)...i think he runs those flaps to be street legal

Just some info. If you powdercoat them Gloss Black about a year later they will fade. Then you will have something that looks between semi-gloss and flat. I would go with semi-gloss black so it looks nice for a long time. I will post pitcures of mine tomorrow or Saturday. Need to pick them up from my dad's house.

At least in Washington you have to have them.. I've never had an issue with running no flaps but my trucks are all stock.
