i got started fri night dropping the motor in, i finally think i got everything buttoned up and i cant get it too start. im tierd im angry and i need some help b/c i cant afford to drop it of some where.

the timing is fine i found tdc on the compresion stroke, plug a test lamp to #1 its getting spark to the plug, im not 180 upside down. im not getting any fuel to the tbi. if i pour gas in it sputters then just cranks.

now am i looking at a fuel pump, fuel pump relay, should i disconnect the fuel lines @ the tbi whats that gonna tell me? im very upset i have no beer i spent all my money on parts any help whould be appreciated.

yeah the radio head lights and driver window dont work either.

ive got one ground going from the back of the pass side head to the fire wall. then their is a wire going from the neg terminal to the rad support to the frame.

Sounds almost like a fusible link or connector for the power to the fuse panel. Test your injector and/or ECM fuses at the fuse panel for voltage, and make sure they are good. If you've got voltage to the fuse panel fuses that handles the injection, then use/make a test light for the injector leads, and see if it lights when you crank the engine over. Need the test light leads hooked one to each terminal on the connector, since the ECM grounds one injector lead.

You can test for 12V to the injector with a test light or multimeter, but that only tells you the supply 12V from teh fuse panel is good, not if the ECM is telling the injectors to fire.

or better yet...check your fuses. is it possible you blew a few fuses when removing your old motor/unhooking isht????? when you hit the key to ign on without hitting the starter can you hear the fuel pump??? have your buddy lie down there and listen for it. if not, there's your problemo

you said your not getting fuel, so you solved your own problem. now find out why there is none. :) good luck man.

i had the same problem before. ended up being getting a new injector and find a wire that had a bare spot on it. i
