Some of you may remember the steering problem I had with my 89 GMC Suburban.(click here)

Today I finally got around to swapping a different steering box in to see if t hat would fix it... low and behold it did. I also discovered the pressure line on the power steering pump needs to be replaced. Now it drives straight as an arrow :D Next up is brakes and tires... The old box had way to much play in it and I think it was just plain wore out(the body has at 250k on it if not more).

Another bonus is the frame is clean and crack free!

How much play is to much in the steering box. I am in the process of changing out my steering shaft. While the truck is off, i try to rotate my steering box and feel alitle play. I currenly have a PSC Box.
