Well, went wheelin this weekend for the first time since the gears and lockers 9actually the first real time the truck has been out on hard trails  ) and got a little trail carnage. I knew not to take it till I had the external cage on  . Well anyway, this is what happens when you follow samurai's on 44's and jeeps on 49's... I will try to repair most of it this weekend then start on the cage. Other than the dents the truck did AWSOME on the tight trails.

Oh BTW all the carnage(both sides) is from the same tree. Pass side was going down the trail and driver side was coming back :eek1:

:D Looks like a set of tube doors on yours wish list also. Still a sharp truck even with the beauty marks.

What is there to fix???? I think it looks better. Now we all know you wheel it instead of drive it to Walmart :D
Like they say. Fullsize takes two things, more driving skills and more dents. ;)

Haha, I was gonna wheel mine next summer and do an exo a year from now but you've got me worried. :D

i really like your bumpers and was thinking about building some like those for myself out of rectangle tubing........what is the hieght of the middle of your front and rear bumpers? is the front 8" or 12" for the rear of mine i was thinking something like 6" channel with tapered ends also. thanks

I like it better with the damage, and with a fullsize you betta get used to it. Out of the 4 doors on my burb the 1 still opens. Where did you go wheeling?? Later Ryan

Front is 8" channel and the rear is 6" channel, they were pretty easy to build.

Just noticed your spring hanger setup in front...any specifics?

I made longer rear shackles for the front springs and it threw my front pinion angle off so I needed to lift the front of the front spring to compensate. I made the rear shackles (for the front spring) and inch longer than stock so I made the front spring hangers an inch longer to match. I made them out of 3/8's plate and boxed them in then welded them on.

Does all that make sense? If you need something else just let me know.

Hey Ryan,

We went to Spring Creek and rode the trails out there. They are tight and twisty. You got any recent pics of the burb...that thing is sweet :D

I'm dreading my first major body damange (anything more than the Montana Pinstripes I've alreayd got) I know it's just a matter of time :D

Do you have any action shots from the wheeling trip? For all we know you could have just had fun with a hammer :doah: :haha:
