Running a 1991 5.7FI blazer and it's getting no fuel to the TBI.

Anybody know if there is an in line fuse for it? And where it might be?

Just want to rule everything out before I pull the tank down.

The pump should run for like 2 seconds when you turn the key to the on position. First see if you can hear the pump. I've seen the little rubber line come loose inside the tank. If you can't hear it, get a volt meter and check the wire going to the pump for 12vdc when you first turn the key on. If you have 12vdc then you are getting power to the pump. You might check the fuel filter too!

I good way to hear the pump is to run a piece of hose into the fill neck and put the other end up to your ear. Just don't smoke while you do it!

Unless TBI is different than TPI, the pump prime is on a timer, so while you may get a 2 second prime first thing in the morning, shutting it off and immediately hitting "run" again won't cycle the pump.

My buddy had tbi and we could cycle it on and off and the fuel pump would run everytime. His ended up being the little rubber tube had come off inside the tank. Thats the only reason I may remotely sound like I know what I'm talking about on this subject.

Same thing happened to me, I put hose clamps on the rubber tube after cutting a hole in the back of the Jimmy. I could hear the pump prime would wasn't getting any fuel to the injectors.

Huh. Interesting that GM had it setup differently. Then again, for cars, they may have wanted it "quieter".

My TBI fuel pump sounds nothing like the TPI one. TPI is quite a bit louder.

To answer the question about the fuse, there should be one in the engine compartment attached to the fuel pump relay harness
