I thought 3.73 was highest gears for a 60 & 14

I've seen 3.22 or 3.23 in a 3/4 ton K20 but here is a K30 with 3.23 ratio.

Neither did I till my neighbor took the covers off an '80 K20 and we saw the 3.22/23 ratio in the 10 and 14 bolts.

I made a thread about it some time back and a few members here confirmed it.

Just never heard of a K30 with that ratio though.

was at the junk yard a month or 2 ago, lookin for the ring n pinion for my 80 gmc. i needed 4.56s. so i looked at a c30 dump truck, i assumed it had 410s or 456s. took the cover off it was 3.23 so i left.

Actually they also had a 3:08 geard d60 front axle . It's actually a d61 . I have 1 . The lowest I thought you could go on the d60 was 3:54 . I did pick up a d61 rear axle with 4:10 gears ( thick gears ) with a trac lock for $55.00 . Just gonna build the d61 front to put in my 1 ton cc dually . Then use the d60 for another project . I think the d70 or 71 used the 3:08 also . I doubt if you could run 40" tires with that ratio though
