I thought my trans pan gasket was leaking... but.

My TH350 has been leaking so I snugged down the pan bolts. From closer inspection I can see that my TV cable is leaking ATF??? I thought it was leaking from where it is bolted to the trans, but it's actually leaking from the cable??

I know this does not help but I don't think t350 have TV cables they have kick down cables

Unless its broken,you dont need a cable..there is an "O" ring under where it slides in the tranny case..that 10mm bolt holds the cable in..in most cases you can take the cable off and put it back without pulling the pan off the tranny..I made a gasket from a peice of an old inner tube for one stubborn leaky cable I had in one of my TH350's..that stopped the leak after putting a new "O" ring in didn't help..

ahhh, i had that crap leak too, except mine was due to the little bolt hole being stripped...

i fixed it by installing a th400

Hum, my UTI edumacated tech friend always called it a TV cable. That was b4 he went to UTI, but I can't recall him saying any different later.
