It has a nasty rod knock so out the engine comes, right after a leakdown test. It doesn't smoke so I may just try to get away with some machining and rod and main bearings. Any thoughts on this?

I guess I need to update the signature

You're right it is an '85.
I guess I need to update the signature.
Any ideas where to get a good(read cheap) short block to drop in? Thanks

Re: I guess I need to update the signature

my dads mechanic is selling his 350 block and heads for 150. its just he bare block and heads though. if i had temoney to build an engine i would buy it but it would prolly just take up space sitting around.
