I wanna put a flag on my sig,,,,help

How is it done??? I am computer ignorant. I wanna put a North Carolina flag on the signature.

First of all, it has to be on the internet to work. Then just put this in the signature box:
[ image ] url [ / image ]
Just dont use spaces.

I gotta apologize for the assinine question but tell me about URL... What is it? where do I find it? and if I got a page on this Coloradok5 (or at least a home page address) can I work off it??? Write out what yours is and explain it. Hard to believe I practice medicine for a living isn't it??

OK, what I did was, I found the pic, I right clicked on it, went to properties, it says the address(url) there. I just copied and pasted to my sign. box, or you can type in, doesn't matter.
This is what mine looks like:

again, dont use the spaces

once you copy the url to your signature, you have to actually go back and type [ image ] in front of the url, then type [ /image ] behind the url. Otherwise it just shows the url address in your signature.(remember, without the spaces...if I left out the spaces in this message, it would show a square with an X in it instead of [ image ]......like this <IMG SRC=" )

Oh, I thought you meant the signature(stuff under the post), but you meant under your username. For that you don't have to have the [ image ] things. Just type in the address. Also make sure that the pic is on the internet or it won't work.

To find animated flags of all sorts do a search on animations or flags. There are plenty of them. They tell you how to copy them.
To make it work on a post look and see if my attatchment helps you understand it better. Dont feel stupid for having trouble with this. It's a breze once you know how.

To do this I
1. attatched a image with my post.
2. went in and copyed the addressline of the attatchment(clicked on the attatcment after the post was entered)
3. Clicked on the edit post icon on my post
4.typed "image" with [ brackets. Hit Ctrl+V for the address. then "/image" again.....This flag workes best on a dark background though.

So this time I used the <font color=blue>attatcment</font color=blue> place to link my url to.... see?

I can tell you about malignant melanomas, and treat your hypertension, diabetes and heart disease, sew you up when you turn your 4x4 over, and run a family medicine clinic...yet I can't put this stupid flag on my what-ever-it-is. I think I'll go treat my own headache now. If anyone is willing to attach this thing for me (or is that possible???) I'll own them a free "finger wave" (who knows what that is???), I'll be back at lunch...gotta get into the trenches now.
