My 89 never had this problem but now I have a 91 and my rear shoulder/seatbelts are attached to my fiberglass top:confused:   , how do I disconnect these?, and will I still have rear seatbelts when I do? :eek1:  :eek1: One more question, where is the best place to get a new seal for the top to cab?

The plastic cover has a pop-in/snap type closure that you can undo by pushing to the outside of the truck and then pulling down. This will give you access to the bolts holding the retractor up. Pull the bolts and you are free to go. I don't think the lap belts will hold without the top being attached though. Been a while and I don't remember.:doah:

Try LMC for the seals.

Does anybody else have any ideas as to if the seatbelts will still work?

No , they will not work ,if they are attached to the top & you remove them from the top they will not be anchored to anything.

On my 91, I got the lap belts from LMC and put them in the back and removed my shoulder belts altogether. they were like $16.
if you do that, be sure to get new anchor bolts.
