Point that sucker at your headers and you'd know immediately what cylinder is missing. I can think of a million other things to use it for too. (And no, I don't work for Fluke )

i've got 1, but no picture, it shines a laser dot for aiming and just a digital read out on the back....i've used it just like you said on header tubes....i've used it on the grease in my fish cooker....used it on alot of stuff...used it to set my fridge to get it cold but right above freezing 34-35*, cold can drinks and bottled water

I've got an inepensive ($60.00?) IR temp gun from sears. It works pretty good and a hell of a lot cheaper than the fluke! I use it on my air cooled HD for temp measurements on the heads/exhaust.

I've used those IR probes as well. This one is much cooler though - you actually get a thermal map of the whole area, not just a single value for the little spot you are aiming at. However, I must agree that it still isn't worth the extra ~$4450. But it is a very cool toy, and maybe in a few years it will be more affordable.

Fluke has a lot of really cool toys, and alot of them a uber expensive, hahaha.

I have never seen one of those before though. That thing would definately come in handy sometimes, but definately not enough to justify the money

My brother wants one BAD, they are sending him one to test out too!, and no he does not get to keep it, he is being made a MOD on the fluke board, he must have 6+ grand in fluke meters, they are nice, and a cam like that is awesome, they go up to 8000$ but are awesome for trouble shooting stuff, wires head up do to bad contacts, could spend hours looking or a few seconds with that cam. I will see if I can check it out when he gets it.

Yup, Fluke is the BOMB , we have some of their ScopeMeters at work - they are awesome (pricy though )
