They have made it soooooooo easy to get your ticket now days I dont koww why more people dont. When I got licensed, Novice only had CW provilages and you still had to take the 5WPM cw test. I had to take the 20WPM test to get my extra! Now its pretty simple.
Get a study guide, read it for a week, take your test and buy your new toys!!

And it is easy. I did it. I just wish I would have kept up with it and gone further. 73's

Theres so many useless functions now days on some of these radio you cant figure them out. My FT-1000 has several hidden menues that are not documented in the manuals.
