what kind of logic is this? I have seats in the truck now so my girl feels buying these would be frivolous. I think they are totally necessary. at least on the driver side. the passenger can suffer if he wants to ride shotgun.

Totally agree, and that really isn't a bad price for them. Will they work with a stock set of brackets though?

I got them, I love them. A little angle iron, a little flat steel, a few bolts, a welder and a grinder and they bolted right up to the factory brackets:D
That's good to know, but what vehicle are you running? Got any pics of the way you set it up?

I use them the baja SS seats. I love them. The only two things I would consider are this.

If you are not pretty skinny, you need tilt steering. Otherwise it is harder to get in and out of the seat since the seat is not flat like normal.

I got the all vinyl seats without the cloth insert. That way they are much easier to clean when they get muddy or dirty. I just take a hose and a rag and clean the entire interior.

Well tilt isn't a problem with mine, it is there from the factory. Personally I would go with the cloth for my application, as I don't tend to get much of a mess on my seats. Again we need pics of how you set them up.

Edit - Is anyone using these seats with the stock seat belts? I really don't want to try to set up a five point harness set.

I would love to help you out with pics, but I am about 3800 from my truck right now. I bought the brackets for the seats, but don't waste your money, they did not just bolt in on mine. Called tech and they couldn't help me. They told my to drill new holes. Anyway just build your own.

Got them, love love love them!!

I have a similar seat made by Beard (ultra model). these seats are awesome for containment offroad and cornering (if you still try to do that in your truck). They make your back sweat a little bit and if a bee or wasp gets behind your back it can be a bear to get rid of it:eek1: (ask me how I know). They are the best type of seats out there. I want them in all my rides.

Oh and what's wrong with harness belts. I just run my lap belt around town and for most wheeling. You can get ones that bolt in or ones that wrap around the cage. I believe a guy on Pirate is selling custom sets of harnesses for way cheaper than you can buy the equivalent.

Nothing wrong with harnesses, but I currently have shoulder belts that a police officer can see. Wearing that ensures that they don't pull me over for not wearing it. The harness would not be visible from car level into mine, even riding on 33's and stock suspension.

I run 5 points in mine. I just wear the lap belt around town and through the shoulder belts to the rear. It isn't legal in most states to do so though. I just sit so tall that the only time it is noticeable is when I go through the base gates. They are not police though and as long as I have a seat belt of some sort, they let me go.

Yes, I am stuck in Korea right now though. I will be home for about 30 days on Monday though. If no one post up any pics before then, I will get you some.

Man I hope that Korea is at least a little better than the sand in Iraq. My little brother spent some time there, and got out of the AF right after because it was so bad over there. He probably would have stayed in if it wasn't for that place.

Thanks for your service, and enjoy your break.

The cops around here will pull you over for anything they can find wrong, even license plate lights... So I figure the shoulder belt is just kind of better safe than sorry. I put over 50000 miles a year on my vehicle so there are too many opportunities to get hit.

Ok sorry gmc4cw hijack off

Seats are highly over rated!!!!!! go get some milk crates.:D

I got some seats from a Toyota 4Runner out of a junk yard for $50. They fold and have side and lumbar adj too. Just make the frame work out of some angle.

Those remind me of the seats I just bought for my CUCV. They are the Beard Super Seats in Cloth. I will post plenty of pics when I have them mounted. Should be middle of next week when I get the brakets made. I have to weld in floors and rockers this weekend.

I have PRP seat on just the driver's side. I was very glad I had it when I flopped the rig last year. I was on the high side and I know without that seat I would have been in a world of hurt. I had a seatbelt on, but I know my hip would have taken a beating and I wonder if I would have slipped out.

With the suspension seat I was held comfortably in place with the factory belt.

I do plan to get just a lap belt from a 5-point setup for wheelin. That way I can lean out the tube doors and still be belted in. You can get just the lap belts for $35 through Summit.

Corbeau makes a fine seat. As does PRP which I have. I've got the Daily Driver model in the wide version. Which ever brand you go with I would recommend getting the one like the Daily Driver which has the nice side bolsters yet has a bit lower bolsters next to the thigh which makes entry and exit much, much easier but you still stay in your seat when it's rough. It's just easier to get in and out and not always having to go up and over the edge of the seat. Just like Silveradoreb's seat and like mine below.
