THe more I look at these pictures the more I want to wheel my Suburban! I did jsut put a set of KM2's on it. I will get a pic up soon.

Now that I'm a member :) I can show my Sub in it's proper place!

If you haven't seen it in the Garage forum, here's the specs so far:

1989 Chevy Suburban
350 TBI, TH700R4, NP241 (I think) T-case and 10-bolts, I think they have got 3.73's.
4" Pro-Comp springs, with 56" in the rear (factory?) Bilstein 5100's all around.
35" BFG A/T's on some old Centerline aluminum rims.

I just recieved my new Tuff Country H.D. springs yesterday for the front; the Pro-Comp springs are too stiff apparently. After I change the springs, I'm going to see what proper shocks I can get for the front to make it even more enjoyable on long fire roads. I've got a baby on the way, we need the ride good for her ;)

Taking the Sub to Tahoe this weekend, and although I'm hoping for snow... it looks like it's going to be "nice" and "warm" there this weekend :( Oh well...

Looks good! Now you just need some 4.10's or 4.56's to try and save that transmission.

Thanks!

I really need to figure out what ratio is in my axles. It drives fine right now; 4th comes at 45 mph. Acceleration is good too, for what I thought would be such a heavy vehicle. Supposedly the previous owner rebuilt the trans with stronger parts, and maybe a mild shift kit. The gears in the front axle still have yellow marking paint on them too... maybe when I install the new front springs, I'll count the number of turns on the driveshaft for a turn on the wheels.

How about some more photos :)

Another trip about a month later, some friends & I went North on Usal Road. My Suburban is too big for that overgrown tight twisty road:

I came home with lots of scratches, although they are light so you can't really see them. Antenna in the rear is hooked under the "wing", trees kept grabbing it!

Gonna bump this for my first suburban!! :D

I'll add the newest member to the family. Seems 5 trucks wasn't enough. I had to go and buy another. Only THIS time I got a suburban!!!
It's 2wd though and has a motor (454FI) that's knocking hard. Thing pulled up on the trailer though...barely.
Plans? rebuild motor, make it 4wd and drive it OR take motor+wiring harness for computer/computer out and sell it again. I have everything I need to make her a 4wd too so i'm leaning that way. I can't never make up my mind on anything but it was a good deal and some guy wanted to trade her tires for it  Couldn't let that happen
Either way I paid $550 and hauled her home :D

bought a 90 burb for parts a while back. thing is a total loss. a couple windows smashed out, the rear tail gate area is completely rotted as well as above the back windows. some one did a good job with duct tape and bondo i must say.

Here are my babies, the blue one is a 75-4x4 and the white one is a 76-2wd. I want to restore the white one back to it's stock appearance when my dad bought it. The blue one is a recent purchase and I'm not sure whawt mods I want to do right now.
