Got a question. With the TH350, 4.10s & 36", what kind of RPM do get at ~80MPH? I ask because I've got 3.42s with 34.5", gonna do the R&P change and wondering about 3.73 or 3.90.
Thanks

I never calibrated my speedo, so I don't know when or if I'm ever going 80.
I just flow with traffic.

Sorry I couldn't help.:(

I have run it with 3:73 though and it sucked. I think for a driver 4:10 feels much better.
It's a heavy pig to get going with a high gear.

I would think 3:90 would work well with 34.5" tires.

My Burbs

Had the '90 for almost a year but haven't done much with it. A previous owner or two back did a lot of work to it mechanically so it's pretty sound - New engine, rebuilt tranny, front end, etc. I've got a big block, 203, 205, low gear set for the TH400 and a FF14 bolt sitting in the garage waiting to be cleaned up/rebuilt and installed.

The 2001 is a great tow rig and just an all-around awsome truck.

In the pics; I'd never seen an eighties PANEL!!!:eek1:

I found that picture of the 80's Panel as you called it in a yahoo suburban group and LOVED it...plan to do the same to mine some time soon... If you are a member of Yahoo, go to groups and do a search for Suburban...the group I belong to has a picture of a 6 wheel suburban as the group picture, and it is NOT a dually!!! Three axles, 6 tires, and LOOONNNGGGG!:bow::bow::bow:

DAMN! I need to get a pic of mine and post it up :doah: soon as its back from the tranny shop.

Yea its frame flex. Check-out pics of K trucks flexing between the bed and cab.:D
Or beyond flex, check-out bent frame trucks, from jumping; bed rubbing the back of the cab.:doah:

You should see Pauly383's flex when that happens, his body mounts are pretty worn out,,,THAT's some twisting there.:doah: i'll see if i can find a pic of it, or maybe he will have one he can post up.

Finally finished!!!!

All I had was a drill and a step bit... so I had to play connect the dots to cut some of my inner fender out to make them fit.
Looks a lot better!!!!! Now I am looking for a Flexalite 280 fan set and some Thorley 388YS headers! And ears and a custom dual front shock kit.....and gears!!!!!!
