I want to see some Suburbans/show us your burbs (merged)

Clean and mean lookin' burb, tumbleweed. Dang, you could eat off anything under your hood. What's that black stuff on your rockers? Some kind of undercoat?

Tumbleweed! I will be possibly be seeing you in a few days. On my way to Hood this weekend for a stint.

Heres my 89 burb, bone stock for now. Now that its my DD and not the wifes I hope to get a 4" TC lift on it, 14bff swap with some 4.56s and 33-35s. Oh and repainted. Its in great shape inside and out except the DAMN peeling paint! :eek1:

and some pics of my speaker box. its a ported down fire box. I made it with a shelf on top so I could put stuff on top if necessary. needs to be carpeted to match the interior

hmmm.... no! looked at alot of burbs when I bought this one and clean interior was must. everything on it works great and seats have to had be redone at some point cause they look great. the carpet on the floor on the other hand is getting a little stained, but still looks decent.

yeah my interior isnt that great. the carpet is all matted down and stained. no headliner. its just beat. thats next on my list of things to do after throwing on the d60, 8 inch lift, crossover, and the 383.

i'll be busy for a while!

Interesting, what year is it?
It looks like a mid 80's but has a D44 front, maybe someone put it in there or someone changed the front clip?

Shes a 88 and I didnt get much history. Friend sold for his friend. Everything has been done right though-no crap wiring nests, no holes drilled (just for roof rack), interior is great and complete. Just needs paint and DIY flip out back. But im sure the axles were swapped in. I need to hook up ebrake cables also.

OK that makes sense, if the ebrake is not hooked up, was it a 1/2 ton?
I know in 88 full floatrear was rare more of them had the semi float rear so I guess they swapped a set from a 3/4 ton truck.

I help when I know I can.
Well I don't know other than possible decoding the VIN how to tell originally what it was.
I know the thickness of the frame can tell you but I can't remember the numbers.
I know there was a thread here a while back with frame thicknesses.
I can or you can do a search.
