I want to see some Suburbans/show us your burbs (merged)

Now that you are a paying member, you have 2 years to make that thing look like this.

I kinda dig the DRW 60 stance...

But I could see why people remedy the problem too.

Nice truck man, your burb makes me drool.:eek1:

man, i need 40's! the 35's are NOT cutting it!

haha thanks guys, it's taken a lot of work to get her like that as im sure most of you know first hand. now it's off to hit the trails of hollister today and see how she does! i'll post back after the weekend is over and show some pics

this is mine. just got it recently and i have great plans for it.

the primary role of this truck is family. Road trips, offroading, and also will work as a light duty bug out vehicle. I am actuve duty military and will possibly be switching to full time guard. When some s--- hits the fan and no one wants to drive through it i will have to go to work. floods, tornados, riots, zombies, you name it.

so here is a small taste of the plans. . .

4" lift, 36" tires, 3/4 or 1 ton axles with lockers
super gloss black or military desert tan ultra flat paint.
on board welder, on board air
sound deadened interior
seats with headrests. (00-07 chevy/gmc/cadillac truck seats with seatbelts integrated)
off road lights
remote start
possible WVO conversion
HMMVW headers
C code intake
custom exhaust

blah blah blah blah blah

in short, comfy enough for the family until we make enough to buy a newer one. and enough utility for offroading, super severe conditions.

also digital scanner
CB/amp
FRS/GMRS chargin dock for 4 radios.

Nice clean burb to start with, Chris. I like the color combo, but I guess it's not up your alley. You might want to do some searches for using the seats with the integrated belts. It seems like I remember someone having problems getting the belts to work right. I wish I remembered or would have saved the thread address, sorry. Oh and I think a 50mm gun on the roof would work great for the zombies.

all i would need is a prc-117. . . lol but a 50 cal wouldnt be bad.

speaking of my ride will also have a holster in the seats for my 1911 and a overhead rack in the back for my savage 30-06 and mossberg 12ga

haha. i plan to add some more soon once i start getting paychecks from my new job. and having the fuel pump blow out a couple of days ago on me, i'm still working on getting her back on the road. while my truck was down i figured i'd go through the electrical system and replace some wires and redo the interior lighting. turned out to be a bigger weekend project than i thought

My daily driver:
Suburban010-1.jpg

12-14 mpg depending on how I drive it.. one of these days I'll have highway numbers.

Planning to do 2-3" of lift and 33's or possibly 34" LTBs.

New to me burb

I just got this 87 suburban. Motor was swapped to a mildly built 350 from an El Camino. I'm searching for a pair of 60/14 axles to replace the 10 bolts in there now. Since the60/14FF axles are like gold in Hawaii I may have to settle for a 10/SF14bolt combo.
4" lift is on the way and 35's are waiting to be installed. This is going to be my daily driver till I can't afford the gas for it!:wink1:

Damn I dont see any rust on it!! Every time i've been to Hawaii I'm always looking at old chevys and I only saw one 80s swb that wasn't a rust bucket

Just a bit of surface rust on the drivers door other than that no rust at all. Pretty hard to believe since I'm on an island surrounded by salt water!:D I also own an 89 grand wagoneer that is rust free, found it that way a few years ago, still no rust.
