I want to see some Suburbans/show us your burbs (merged)

My 85 suburban

I've owned this for two years but am just starting the mods. Just got the 6 inch lift, wheels and new 35's yesterday after having the 350 rebuilt, a total tranny overhaul and 4:10's in the axles (wish I had gone with lockers). I think I'm going to name it "the money pit". But love the mods I have planned: bumpers, seats, dash (is a little rough). Already have all new weatherstripping but waiting for paint. Oh, and the dang thing won't go into 4 low, so there's another grand I'm sure. :D

there's already a suburban on CK5 named money pit, haha! welcome to the addiction! :woot:

Nice Burb! is that picture taken on Irving Blvd? The low range my just be a linkage adjustment or possibly a range fork. The range fork is inexpensive and easy to change.

That looks like it's right across from the 4 Wheel Parts. The A&R Records sign is a dead giveaway.

I'm thinking the Tejas Del Norte suburbans (and K5s) might need to organize and grab a burger sometime in the future.

That's a clean ride!

Thanks for the kind words fellas!:waytogo: I've been wanting to build it for a long time. I finally found the right one to start with. I will be adding homemade bumpers in the near future and hopefully a roof rack.

Here is my 1991 V2500. Bought her 2 months ago. I love the way she drives, especially tooling along 2 lanes at 55-60. She's got the 5.7 TBI, 480 trans (4 speed overdrive, 241 t case. She is doing duty as my DD, camping, mild trail riding and work around the farm rig. Here's what I have done so far:
Steering stabilizer
Borgeson Steering Shaft
Lock Right Locker
Oil Change
New plugs/wires
New cap and rotor
New map sensor
LED lighting throughout
Transmission service
transfer case rebuild
Fused 12 v to the rear area

Had her out for the first camping/trail ride last weekend. Coming from the jeep world, I was super impressed with her ability on the trails and the level of manuverability. I especially enjoyed pulling a Toyota LC up a ledge that this old girl idled right over.
