I will never put _____ on my truck

I had the procomp extreme all terrains on my 2500hd in 325/80/16s and they rode/handled/wore great. I had 35,000 miles on em and sold em 1/4 tread. Also had 315s in mud and all terrains and both sucked for wear.

Inasmuch as it's a bit off topic (tires), but I have to say that I love BFGs. I have the KO-series ATs on my Wrangler and could not be happier with them. I have the KM2-series M/Ts on my Jimmy and so far (haven't had them long, maybe <1000 miles) I am pretty happy with them, too. Of course, given the noise that my 6.2 makes, any noise that they might be making is lost to me.

Drum roll please.......:haha:

I was being serious, I despise step sides. I even think they look awful on 1988-1998 Chevrolets, but for some reason, I like the look of the 1988 box on the 1967 - 1972 pickups.

Roof rack yes, one of those Thule roof top cargo boxes, never again. I'd do the roof rack on 'Ole Reliable, but not on Big Red. 'Ole Reliable has the aerodynamics of a farm tractor, cant get much worse.

Fake stick on stuff. If it needs 2-sided tape to be installed, it probably wont last long so why bother.

Auto trans. I've gone through countless 700's. If I could find a way to make the Navigator a stick, I'd do it in a heartbeat. But both Burbs have 465's in them now, and I havent had any issues. Not counting the hydro clutch problems with Big Red. That all started with a clutch pack that was too hard for my setup.

Stock stuff. Apperantly I dont like it. When I go to the parts store, I have to remember what year vehicle I stole parts from the first time. 'Ole Reliable is made from about 7-8 different years worth of GM parts. And the one repair shop I've used wouldnt even touch Big Red after one look in the engine bay. I thought they were mechanics, but seems if it isnt in the book, they dont know how to work on it.

And lastly, lowering kits. Big Red is at stock height for a 2wd Burb, and she bottoms out on EVERYTHING! I knew a guy with the same year/style Burb and had dropped it 4". I dont how he drove around. One solid skid plate? I like some lowrider stuff, but not when it prevents the daily use of the vehicle in question. When your rig double as a road grader, you've screwed up somewhere.

A lowering kit. I did paint "your mom" on the passanger door of my wheeling truck for a few days.

Calvin peeing on whatever
fake vents, scoops, etc.
flashy emblems/ornamentation
visor
truck nuts
running boards
tubular side steps (not to be confused with functional tube style sliders which I did have)
hoop steps
swoopy fiberglass ground effects
novelty mudflaps (ie: trucker girl, Yosemite Sam, Tweety, etc)
cartoon character stickers (other than if I had a Jeep- I would run a Jeep sticker (the dog like character from Popeye comics))
random skulls, flames, and Kanji stickers
Z71, ZR2, etc stickers on anything other than vehicles that actually have those packages
chrome door edge thingies
chrome rub strip thingies
little chrome bumper horns
approach angle robbing "pushbars"
bumper stickers containing blatant profanity
stickers for products that are not on the vehicle
thornbirds
Truxxxus (spelling? the weird super swamper all terrains)
white walls on a truck
exterior grab handles
yellow gold labels/badges/ornaments of any sort (even if they are stock, I HATE yellow gold!)
toyota wheels on a chevy or chevy wheels on a toyota (I've seen (and disliked) both)
"wagon" wheels
spinners
heartbeat of America (or other old) graphics (they looked okay 20 years ago but WAY dated now)
any dealership stickers/logos/license plate frames/etc
neon colored shock boots
neon colored chassis bits (other than Reid Racing (used to be Dedenbear) knuckles and inner C's, I would leave them orange if I had them)
more shocks per wheel than are necessary
multiple steering stabilizers (if one doesn't work, why would 4 make it better?)
chrome roll bars
chrome sheets that stick onto the lower portion of the body sides
a car or truck bra (unless necessary for proper cold weather diesel operation
Chevy bow tie exhaust tips (or most exhaust tips in general)
multi-colored or patterned window tint
gawdy graphics (think 80's show truck paint)

Okay, it's almost 3am, that's all I can think of for now but, I am sure there's more! :haha:

Why No LED ligts??? I've put them on all my trailers and I'm thinking about doing my trucks as well.

There way brighter, use less power, and never burn out.

From a Function stand point there great

X2, I stuck the wide oval type LED brake lights into the taillight assy. on my 74 nova and they worked awesome. WAY brighter than the old crappy 1156 or whatever bulb they came with.

Im guessiong he means the really tacky ricer style lights people use.

i will never put those super gay running boards on any of my trucks
