I will never put _____ on my truck

My 6 year-old son has a friend named Thorin Byrd. I keep waiting for him to get stuck in the mud. :D

ok actual list..
running boards - but want rhino trekstep on new silverado
no ford parts - no exception
no chrome of any kind - stock chrome is fine but going where it can
open axles


now i have always liked:
visors - but alot of people say loss of mpg
iroc-z style hood - with the side vents and still would if i could find one
stickers - cmon you gain 5hp for small and up to 25hp for cross windshield stickers
tripple/double rollbar - ok im not 17 anymore (1990) so will stay clear
almost forgot - 12" big V chrome rear bumper - wife dont like it so was vetod when we were in highschool... shees still saying no!!!
 
I like Visors too and as for the mileage loss I say bull I've bolted on 5-6 of them and have NEVER noted a mileage change and I check my mileage every tank on all my vehicles


Triple double bar??? no but I like my single-single bar

The big Chrome Drop center rear bumpers are cool!!! On a Tow Rig/DD but not on a wheeler.

I get most of my stuff from the junkyard, Seems to last longer than the junk at chain stores

Of course there is always stuff that you do have to get from them

i mainly cant stand the idiots who work there,

they do have a good sale on paper towes this week tho. they dont need a computer to look that up

yeah but see that is the thing... who cares if you have to deal with dumb people to get stuff....

your comment is like what i read on newegg...

customer review.. 1 star... I dont actually own the product.. but look at it.. it looks cheesy and i dont think it will hold up.... other one I like is they give a 1 star review on the product because newegg didnt give them the proper refund....


remember.. we are talking bout the stores/products... not the idiots that work there.... :popcorn:
 
^^^ same with how ppl rate movies low because of poor dubbing/ voice over acting. I hate that, watch it in it's original form with subtitles dammit.

Autozone parts suck the big one especially the electrical stuff AND they have ****ty service
 
i dont have any problem with autozone service and for the parts i dont see a diffrence in a acdelco spark plug sold from autozone or napa. both is acdelco so idk maybe there own product line like autozone parts yea there not the best quality but they do sell other brands like timken, dana spicer, acdelco, moog. just dont buy the cheapest parts.

just go to AZ if you want practice changing parts over and over again

now i have a serious question then..
with your statement.. where do you buy your parts..

i have
1. GM dealer
2. Autozone
3. Advanced Auto Parts
4. Napa

they are my selections excluding the local lil mom/pops parts stores....

im just trying to thing where this great parts store god resides...


i have gone through (since 1989) about 15 alternators, starters, 5 water pumps

and id say more from mud... mud... mud.. mud... and mud... they destroy parts... so $25 for lifetime warranty starter.. gets destroyed.. no biggie...:dunno:
 
wow root, your on it today, I didnt know you would take so much offence to an AZ comment.

I have the same parts stores in my area as you do, by all means there is no God on staff

Im pretty aware that MOST part stores carry the same parts.....(new and rebuilt companys products and so forth)
but the service at most of the chain stores and quality of product at our local AZ store blows.

Our shop buys on a comercial account and we cant afford to keep replacing parts to get the right one over and over again......as is the case with AZ

If you like the cheap prices and have all that extra time to deal with their head aches go for it, you need the $25 life time part
