But they are so damn expensive right now and no aftermarket support yet. I love my tube door mirrors but find it very hard to delete my wing windows on my full doors. I have seen the conversions or retro-force-fit between old and new...just not for me.

I think the new mirrors can be mounted, without being in the way of the wing windows, and still feel like my tube door mirrors.

Anyone get their hands on some super cheap and let me try to fit them? I might try to make an adapter to use the original door mounts. Or at least drum up interest enough so a vendor can mill up easy mounting plates. What do ya’ll think?

It’s too late to go back, I’m spoiled with my tube doors. Makes driving it a lot more comfortable in traffic/parking lots.

I would love mirrors like that on the crew cab. As long as they can stand up to a few tree impacts.

Well that’s the best part with the last gen towing mirrors I have on the tube doors. I smack those all the time and they just fold in. Push back out and they are already adjusted. These new ones actually mount to the body instead of the window pillar. The love the look of the old ones I have now but they just don’t allow for the wing/vent windows to stay. Being that I have no AC or fan, those little windows are important.

I always wish for better mirrors when I tow the camper. I was thinking those newer mirrors might almost fit the body lines, plus as you mentioned they are body mounted to begin with.

My buddy just got a 2020 HD. And them mirrors are capital F- Fugly

Why not make some custom mounts for a older set of mirrors?

I would like to find some all black ones, not interested in the blinker or chrome. The mirrors on the tube doors are actually $125 aftermarket ALL manual adjustment. Actually like the adjustment WAY more than the factory ‘06 mirrors on the work truck.

I stand corrected! Lol!
Now I get what your thinking with the new style mirrors to save the vent window. Not a bad idea!
And you have proven the current ones are up to it.

The thing I would be worried with them is the mirror glass getting popped out when they hit something. The plastic housing seems pretty thick and hefty.

Most people would think the mirrors I have now are ugly, but I like them better than the originals.

So big I can see the curvature of the Earth AND where I was 30min ago. :doah:

Anybody find the new ones cheap? Maybe someone that works a yard or something? :D
